All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

This weekend sees our Year 3 students emark upon the next stage of their sacramental journey as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is one of the

Healing sacraments.

Through this sacrament, we experience the forgiveness of God and the healing grace of God’s transforming love.

It restores and renews our relationship with God, our families, friends and the Christian Community.

Our Year 3 students are becoming more aware of how their actions and words can affect others. They are beginning to understand the concept of conscience and recognise our need for Jesus’ help in making good choices. Jesus made choices every day. He chose to love everyone, even those who were unkind to him. He chose to help people even when he didn't feel like it and He asks us to do the same.

We make choices every day. Jesus wants us to choose the right thing to do. God does not force us to choose good, He gives us the freedom to make our own choices. We are responsible for all the choices we make. The RIGHT ones and the WRONG ones.

But one of the greatest gifts God has given us is that His love for us is unconditional and He is always ready to forgive.
