DIVISION GIRLS T-BALL

On Monday, our Girl’s T-Ball competed in the Kingston District Finals at The Cheltenham Baseball Fields.  They won their 2 preliminary games and earned a spot in the grand final.  They faced Kingston Heath Primary who had massive wins in their pool games.  Our girls were all t-ball rookies from the start of the season but have developed and improved each week under Mrs. O’Brien’s coaching.  Emma N joined the team late in the season and her baseball background also proved to be a decisive force.  We caught well, threw accurately, hit long and supported each other through our great plays as well as our mistakes.  The girls won the grand final 13 to 11 and they are now crowned the 2023 Kingston Division Champions.

Thank you to the parents who transported and networked amongst themselves to get everyone there and home.  Thank you to the parents for your encouragement for the sidelines. It just may have been that little “X Factor” that got the girls across the line in the end.  I heard there were even tears shed after the grand final win, and I’m not talking about the kids!

All the best to the girls when they travel to Mornington to play in the Southern Metro Finals next month.  

Next Monday, our girl’s netball team travel to Springers for the Kingston Division finals.  We wish them the best.
