SENIOR SCHOOL NEWS

Sarah Bridges

Senior Sub-School Manager

It is pleasing to see senior students approaching their studies with the diligence and dedication required in the final approach to the last assessment tasks and upcoming exams and interviews. Students and parents are reminded to seek support from the relevant Year Level Coordinator or Student Wellbeing if needed.

YEAR 12

VTAC : the website is now open and students need to be creating an account using their VCAA number. Careers are holding important sessions to go through the process and SEAS applications. It is essential that if a student is intending to attend a tertiary institution in 2020 (or wants to apply and defer) that they apply now. It is important to note that the financial cost significantly increases if a student applies late.

Graduation: please keep payments up. Anyone who requested extra tickets have been allocated and students provided with details. When the tickets have been paid for in full students will be given the tickets. Please do this by the end of term.

We have several suits available for students to try on and keep for upcoming events. Please see Ms Bridges.

YEAR 11

Camp: there has been a change of date to the camp. New forms will be reissued next week.

2020 Year 12 Jumpers: Students have been asked to try on jumpers to determine size. Please note we are not able to change the size once ordered.

VCE

VCAA end of year time table is available. Students should be aware of exam timetables and organise work/activities to ensure they are focussed on study and exams at this critical time.

Students who are completing an Oral Language Exam should have their examination advice slip. Please see Ms Bridges if you do not.

Silent Study Room in the Library is now totally dedicated to student study. No classes are scheduled in there and students are encouraged to use this space.

Practice Exams : Unit 4 students have been shared the timetable for the exams in the September break. Shared with parents on Compass.

VCAL

Year 12 students have been provided with information regarding end of year exit interviews. They should be preparing their folios, interview questions and general presentation skills.

Important Notice

Re: Excursion Process

Please remember to meet the school timelines for excursion permissions and payments. These processes are designed to facilitate good management around transport, staffing, medical needs and event access. Any lateness with permissions/payments creates stress to the process and will no longer be accepted. Students who do not meet timelines will be provided with a program at school on the day of the activity.
