Congratulations to the following LHS students who WON events at the recent School Sport Victoria State Championships.

Cael Elliott - Year 12 

WON - Under 17 Javelin

Georgia Laven - Year 10

WON - Under 16  800m  and Under 16 400m

Maddie Laven  - Year 7

Second - Under 13 1500m

James Laven - Year 12

WON - Open 1500m

Year 10 Sports Coaching Visit MEPS

During Week 2, Term 4, the Year 10 Sports Coaching class had the privilege of visiting the Grade 2 class at Mooroolbark East Primary School.

This visit allowed our students to apply what coaching strategies they have been learning into practice. There were 8 sports covered across the class, with 7 to 8 primary school students in each.

It was fantastic to see each coaching group take engaging and fun hour-long lessons for the primary school students.

Well done to both schools involved, for organising another terrific joint lesson.

Year 8 Basketball

Friday 26 October

Congratulations to the Year 8 Boys Basketball team on becoming the Eastern Region Basketball CHAMPIONS! The boys defeated Rowville SC in the final, 35 to 32.

Also, a great effort by the Year 8 Girls Basketball team who made it to the final, but were beaten by Templestowe College.

The boys will now progress to the State Final.
