Term 3 Events
Hi everyone, we hope that you are enjoying term three, and you are not feeling too under pressure with lots of things going on at the moment. We are especially looking out for our year 12s at the moment; with not long left to go in the year it can be a stressful time with lots of decisions to be made!
Despite all of the school workload, it has been fabulous to see some terrific community spirit and togetherness within the school! On Friday the 2nd of August, the leadership team held our very own ‘Careers Day’ at MFG to help empower young women to see what and who they want to be in the future. We encouraged students to dream big and dress up to represent their future careers. At lunchtime we fired up the BBQs for a sausage sizzle, with lots of options for gluten free and vegan students.
To maintain the importance of togetherness in our school community, the leadership team held another one of our very successful Healthy Breakfasts. Thanks to some very generous donations of eggs, fresh fruit and bread, we were able to provide our students with a wide variety of options for a nutritious breakfast. This time we asked students to either bring a gold coin donation, or a food donation to support the Toucan Appeal that our Middle Years Captains have been supporting.
A huge thank you to those members of the student leadership team who sourced donations, prepared food, and helped with the pack up and clean up, and also to any staff who helped on the day and also assisted in securing food donations. Without your commitment and hard work, these days are not possible.
