THE MULTICULTURAL COMMITTEE NEWS

The first Multicultural Committee meeting was held on Monday, 24 February, at lunch time.

The main focus and discussion at the meeting was the Pako Festa, which was held on Saturday, 29 February with the theme “Elements of Cultures”.

Victoria’s biggest free cultural festival came alive with the traditional parade opening lining Pakington Street with a kaleidoscope of colour. NGSC’s Multicultural Committee was well represented by staff, students and parents. In all colour and flair we had lots of fun and enjoyed mingling and taking photos whilst we paraded in the cavalcade of songs, dances and cuisines of more than 40 different cultures.

The next Multicultural Meeting will be on Monday, 16 March, at lunch time (12:40 pm - 1:30 pm) and we will be having a guest speaker from Centrelink.

New members, parents/carers and friends from the community are most welcome to attend the next meeting, please contact the school for more information.
