Sport

Last Thursday the Huntingdale students represented our proud school at division athletics and some students will be going on to the next stage, regionals!!

 

The Socceroos won the match against Syria with Tim Cahill taking the winning shot 2-1 in extra time to secure a spot in the final world cup qualifiers matches last Tuesday.

 

The grade 3&4s have a basketball clinic this week and the next week, and the 5&6s have a cricket clinic for the next few weeks.

 

 If your child likes tennis then tell them that the tennis tournament is coming back on the 27th of October.

 

If you like motor sport and have a background from Britain you would be happy that Lewis Hamilton has won the Japanese grand prix also David Reynolds and his co-driver Luke Youlden has won the Bathurst 1000 by 4 seconds.

 

Learning

The whole school is learning about creativity. The grades 3 to 6s are learning about how nature has inspired some inventions that people use in their every day lives such as canes, brooms, drink bottles and even pencils for inquiry.

Grade 2

In maths the grade 2’s are learning about subtraction and in 2 weeks they will be learning division.

They are doing pre writes and free writing.

Environmental News

The 3/4B gardening group was checking on their small plot garden, fertalising the cherry blossom avenue and passing the tunnel when we have spotted that beautiful lizzard sunbaking. We hope to see its family around as well. It was as so exciting for the kids to experience this friendly wild pet.
