PARENT INFORMATION

FRIDAY 20 SEPTEMBER

END OF TERM 3

Staff Professional Development Day

Students ARE NOT REQUIRED at school.

UNEXPLAINED ABSENCES

Parents and guardians are asked to check COMPASS and approve ANY UNEXPLAINED ABSENCES your son/daughter may have for 2019.

Notifying the school of your child’s absence either prior to, or on the day that they will be away, helps ensure the safety and wellbeing of students and will fulfil your legal responsibility.

This system also promotes daily school attendance. Going to school every day is the single most important part of your child’s education, they learn new things every day – missing school puts them behind.

Please note, it is DEECD (Department of Education and Early Childhood Development) policy that all student absences are accounted for.

Melba Ave, Lilydale

Level Crossing Removal

Yarra Ranges Council is undertaking a SHORT SURVEY to evaluate the impact of a possible closure of the level crossing at Melba Avenue, Lilydale, which could be undertaken as a part of the Level Crossing Removal Project at Lilydale Station.   This would include closing the road and creating cul-de-sacs at each side of the railway corridor.

Due to the close proximity of the crossing to  Lilydale High School, the Council have developed a short survey for parents and staff at the school to highlight any impacts to the school community.

The survey consists of 6 short questions which will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.

The survey closes on Sunday 6 October, 2019 and can be found at:
