Aircraft Simulator

The Defence Force chose St Bede’s College to be the first school in Victoria to have their new state-of-the-art aircraft simulator visit the College as part of the SimJET school program.    So, last Tuesday on 10th

June, over 60 year 11 and 12 students had the opportunity to pilot the simulators with fully qualified RAAF and Ensemble staff on hand to answer any questions they had.  The simulator included two Super Hornet cockpits, two Air Combat Officer Radar Consoles and an Air Traffic Control Tower console.  Each student was allocated a 20 minute timeslot.  They arrived on the school grounds at 7 am and didn’t leave till after 5 pm.   A great day was had by all!
