Camps and Excursions

Y5/6/7 Hindmarsh Island

In Week 10 of Term 3, our Year 5/6/7 students will be departing for Little Eagle Campsite at Hindmarsh Island. F10, F11 and F13 will be departing on Monday 24th September and returning Wednesday 26th September. F12, F14 and F15 will be departing on Wednesday 26th September and returning Friday 28th September.  This camp is designed to enhance the Geography aspect of the HASS curriculum as well as support aspects of Health and Physical Education. Students will further develop their knowledge and understanding of sustainability and Indigenous perspectives and will be participating in various water and cultural activities.

Most parents/caregivers have paid the deposit of $50, so the remainder of $260 for this camp is due at the end of Week 8 (14th September). No additional invoice will be sent for this payment. Please ensure payment is finalised by the due date.  If support is needed to fund camp or to manage payments over a longer period of time, please contact Micki Cooke to negotiate terms.  We will always find ways to ensure our students are able to participate in the wonderful learning experiences provided through camps.

Y7 Hindmarsh Island Activities

As with the Year 5/6 students, the Fisher camp at Little Eagle Campsite, Hindmarsh Island, will provide opportunities for our students to develop self-confidence and leadership skills in addition to enriching our Geography, sustainability and indigenous perspectives learning.

The Year Seven students will be participating in a slightly different programme which will include participation in surfing/boogie boarding, water ecology, kayaking, a cultural tour of the sand dunes

bordering the Coorong National Park and multiple team challenges.
