Vale Deanne Lamprey

The network is saddened to announce the passing of our friend, colleague and former Board member, Deanne Lamprey of FN Burnie (Tas).

She passed away after a short illness on Sunday 15 January.

Deanne and her husband Stephen, together with their family, are well-known to many throughout our network. Deanne served on the national Board and state council for many years and led the way for many of the technological advances the network has made. Her contribution was always with great enthusiasm and she was a leader in the real estate industry in Tasmania.

Over the past few days, Deanne’s many colleagues and friends have posted their condolences and memories of Deanne. Overwhelmingly, for all who knew her, their affirmations chorused:

‘Deanne was a great inspiration to many women in the industry’

‘She was a leader at a time and place when that was rare’

‘She was bold and forthright, but equally humble and caring’

‘She always grabbed hold of innovations and ran with them at full speed’

Australia Day collateral

It’s Australia Day this Thursday! Yay!

Download this collateral to share on your social assets.

Seize the day!

2023 will be an exciting year of opportunity for agents who seize the day.

Despite economic challenges, Australian homeowners show minimal signs of mortgage fatigue. There has been strong demand for property throughout summer and the most optimistic of our ‘Big Four’ banks - Commonwealth Bank - predicts the cash rate may peak as early as February then remain static until September, before rate cuts begin once again. Make sure you’re ready and using every tool First National provides to win more business.

First National started the year with the excitement of three new office applications – Thurgoona (NSW), Toronto (NSW), Ryde (NSW) – (congratulations to our recruitment team) and huge brand exposure across Australia and New Zealand when our Chief Executive was interviewed on Sky News about the market and whether Australia should copy Canada’s decision to ban foreign investment (see Media and Marketing).

Without doubt, this is the time to upgrade your websites, systems, listing submissions and marketing techniques. Your Business Growth Manager is here to help, so ask for help.

First National's reputation has improved, again!

More good news!

The average Google star rating of First National Real Estate offices in Australia has lifted for a third year in a row and now stands at 4.2. This means more listings, more sales and more rent roll growth.

  • 5% of offices have secured a 5-star rating (incredible)
  • 38% of offices have attained between 4.5 and 4.9 stars (outstanding)
  • 25% of offices have achieved between 4 and 4.4 stars (doing very well)
  • 12% of offices are ranked between 2.5 and 3.9 stars (please ask for help)
  • 3% of offices have no reviews (an easy problem to correct)

If your office isn’t in the top three of Google’s ‘Local Pack’ when customers search ‘real estate agents + your suburb’ then let’s make it a priority to get you there.

If your Google listing isn’t managed by First National or doesn’t automatically display your latest listings, speak to your Business Growth Manager and we’ll get you on the right track.
