VCE ART EXHIBITION

The St Joseph’s College Unit 4 Studio Art, Media Studies, and Visual Communication Design students displayed their best work of the year at 'Our future, is here...', their end of year exhibition at Arts Mildura on Thursday November 17. Affectionately known as 'the Art Show', the exhibition featured speciality works by 11 young artists across the three disciplines. 

Miss Andy Higgins and Mrs Bogna Collins were excited to be able to exhibit student work after two consecutive years of COVID hiatus. The students created some fabulous work this year across diverse media, including photography, drawing, sculpture, and site plans. Jemma Fanshaw also provided a wonderful guitar and vocal soundtrack when she performed her VCE Music exam piece.

'NOTHIN' BUT A GOOD TIME'

It’s finally here! Our long-awaited album ‘Nothin’ But A Good Time’ dropped on Spotify on Friday, November 11.

Our music students and staff worked extremely hard over the past few months to get this project up and running. The final product celebrates their passion and dedication to music education and collaboration.

Our producer, Jack Guy from No Borders Creative, has commended the college by commenting on how amazing the staff and students are within our college community. The way in which the college operates has made his work engineering and producing the album a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

VISUAL COMMUNICATION

In Visual Communication Industrial Environmental (VCIE) this term, students undertook a series of observational drawings of food and experimented with different materials, methods and media. They then refined them in Adobe Illustrator as isometric illustrations. This is a fun way to apply technical drawing skills related to the Industrial Design and Engineering Fields.
