Achieving Excellence Together

Dear Parents,

Next week is the final Thursday afternoon session of Prep beginning schools program. . The program has been a success in that students were able to familiarise themselves with the school setting and build new friendships and develop an understanding of classroom routines and expectations. It also provided staff an opportunity to get to know the students and ascertain their needs prior to them commencing school. Thank you to  staff involved in the planning and delivery of the program. We look forward to our 2023 prep students commencing school with confidence next year.

Whole School Transition Day

All students will be involved in a whole school transition day on Tuesday 13th of December whereby they will be informed of their 2023 grade, teacher and classroom. Teachers have spent many hours forming grades to ensure we meet the social, emotional and academic needs of all students.

During this time an information morning will be held for our 2023 prep families and other new families to our school.

Current Year 6 students

Tuesday the 13th of December is also the day that our current year six children visit their new high schools. The students are involved in a transition program to prepare them for high school and are feeling confident about attending their transition day. We wish them all the best and hope they have a wonderful experience.

Prep 2023 Assessment

Prep students commencing school next year will be required to attend a 30 minute interview with their classroom teacher at the commencement of the 2023 school year. Families will be provided a time to attend at the Whole School Transition Day on Tuesday 13th December. Prep students will commence school on Thursday the 2nd of February and will not be required to attend Wednesdays in February.
