Principal's message

Dear Parents/Carers,

YEAR 3/4 CAMP ROSES GAP

We had an outstanding time at Roses Gap last week for the Year 3/4 camp. The weather could not have been better and the facilities were first class.

Each child had the opportunity to complete seven adventurous activities including a walk to the beautiful Bee-hive Falls, a flying fox, archery, crate stacking, a giant swing, a low ropes course and a vertical play-pen. Each activity planned was very challenging and it was pleasing to see all students and staff participate with enthusiasm and positive attitude.

Students slept in cabins, surrounded by local wildlife and spectacular scenery. The food was great, with most children lining up for seconds at each meal.

It was the first camp for many of the students and they were able to deal with the separation from family and have a great time. They should be commended!

Camp staff commented on the positive attitudes and good manners of our students, which is very pleasing indeed.

I’d also like to thank our parent volunteers Nicole Jephcott and Greg Gent. It’s always difficult ensuring adult/student ratios and their help was very much appreciated.

Thank-you to all staff who attended this wonderful camp and made it such a special time for the students but in particular to Gina Mills for organising it. Pat Kluver is working on a camp video and it will be ready for viewing in the coming weeks.

CHRISTMAS EXTRAVANGAZA

What a fantastic night we had at the Christmas Extravaganza. Students and their teachers had been practising their songs over the past few weeks and it definitely showed on the night. We are so proud of them all for getting up in front of everyone and providing us all with wonderful performances. Thankyou also to the Food Trucks who came along and provided us with many great choices.

It goes without saying that these events are not possible without the amazing organisation of the Warrnambool Primary Parents Association members and help from the Jamo Community. Thank you to everyone who organised in the lead up to the event and on the day.
