Welcome to the Team!

Hello EVPS families. My name is Elisabeth Watt, but you can call me Liz. I’m looking forward to a fun year working with students, families and the staff at EVPS. I’ve joined the school as a Learning Specialist and teacher in 4EW. I really love Maths and Science, and learning new things all the time. I have two children, James, 9 and Imogen, 5. My husband, also James (yes, I know it can be super confusing!) and I built a new house and moved in just before Christmas. Having grown up on a farm, I love having pets, including a dog, Pepper, two cats, Abby and Barney, and some green tree frogs. I’m a passionate Magpies supporter, and there’s no convincing me that any other team is better! Feel free to chat with me about Pokemon too!

This is my 10th year in education. I have worked in schools in the South East and Western Suburbs, and have spent the last 7 years working in Charter Schools in Brooklyn, New York. I am a passionate life long learner and am so excited to be joining the EVPS community.
Sophie Nightingale
My name is Rachel and I’m extremely excited to join the Epping Views community as one of the Assistant Principals. I have worked in primary education for over 20 years in government primary schools in Victoria, with a two-year teaching experience in Manchester, United Kingdom. I’ve also worked for 4 years at Melbourne University in Teacher Education.
I look forward to getting to know the students and families of EVPS – your names, interests, passions and family backgrounds. I really believe in building strong family and community engagement and meaningful connection between learning at school and home.
Thank you to all of the students and families who have made me feel so welcome already with a hello and a smile.

My name is Waqas and I am very excited to join Epping Views Primary School.
Growing up I always wanted to work with children and after the birth of my first son, I joined the teaching profession and have been working as a teacher for a little over 10 years. As an educator, I love getting to know my students' interests as well as sharing my own. I am very passionate about motivating and facilitating students' learning. My classroom is built upon respect, honesty, and integrity. Being a former software developer I very much enjoy incorporating technology in supporting students' learning.
A little you might like to know about me is I am a dad of two boys. My eldest is 13 and my youngest is 10. On my weekends I love to play football/soccer, mountain biking with my family and friends, and to try everything under the sun to avoid doing grocery shopping.
I am looking forward to 'Meet and Greet' night at EVPS.
