Principal's Views

Welcome back to the start of another exciting school year. 

In particular, I’d like to welcome the new students and their families and trust your time at Epping Views Primary School is happy and productive. 

We have had a number of new staff join our hard working team of teachers and Education support staff. We are proud of our recruitment efforts and the strength and breadth of experience, enthusiasm and energy that we have been able to capture in our new staff.  We are delighted to welcome:

Rachel Griffiths, Sophie Nightingale, Elisha Taaffe, Waqas Ahmed, Natasha Jovevska, Tazmin Duggan, Angela Lawson, David Kalenjuk, Rebecca Scaffidi, and Elisabeth Watt.

Nominations for the Epping Views School Council are now open! There is currently one parent electorate to be appointed for two-year terms between March 2023 – March 2025.

Nomination forms can be collected from the office. 

Transition tips 

Back to school is an exciting time for students and families. It can be a big step – particularly for those starting prep or moving to secondary school.

For advice in multiple languages on how parents can help their child have a positive start to school, refer to Tips for starting school.

1. Rapid antigen testing

It is still recommended that rapid antigen tests (RATs) are used by students and staff:

• If you have symptoms of COVID-19 infection, no matter how mild
• If you are a household or close contact of someone who has COVID-19
• If you are a social contact of someone who has COVID-19. 

The Department of Health recommends that all Victorians should report their positive RAT result to the Department of Health online, or by calling 1800 675 398.
