Foundation 2023 Transition

Buddy Fun

Last week the 2023 Foundation students got to meet their future grade 5 buddy! They absolutely loved meeting their buddies and got to enjoy some special Christmas activities with their buddies! Together they made some Christmas ornaments as well as a Santa craft! It was so wonderful to see the 2023 Foundations already developing strong relationships with their buddies. Strong relationships with their buddies help promote a smooth transition to school.

Step-up morning

On Tuesday we had our step-up morning at school! The step-up morning involved students discovering who their teachers are going to be for next year and what classroom they will be in. For 2023 the Foundation teachers will be Rebecca Beveridge and Katie Vranken with the help and support from LSO Sue McConachy.

On Tuesday, students played some 'get to know you' games as well as making some Christmas crafts and engaging in guided play! It was wonderful to see the 2023 students enter the room with fantastic resilience and happiness to be at school! They have started to develop friendships with each other and are all looking forward to starting school next year!
