Respect Cup Netball

Congratulations to the Year 5 students who participated in the Barwon Health Respect Cup. This was a new initiative that taught the students not only the skills of netball, but other life skills. The girls were given the chance to listen to some excellent guest speakers and participate in role playing activities, engaging talks and netball.

Year 3 Football Clinic

A big thank you to Taylah Hassett (AFL Victoria Participation Officer for the Colac Region). Our Year 3 children were fortunate enough to have a football clinic on Friday which was led by Taylah. The children worked on their football skills in a fun way. Well done to all involved.

Footy 4 Fun

This Wednesday, 7th December, children from Sacred Heart are invited to the Footy 4 Fun Event at Central Reserve (4:00pm-5:15pm). Footy 4 Fun aims to encourage and increase participation at a junior level.  Ages 4-12 will be invited to participate in a range of activities targeted to their specific ages and skill levels. AFL Victoria believe it is vital to engage with these age groups to successfully build participation levels in junior programs and transition from participation at school to local clubs.  AFL Victoria offers various school programs and clinics, and Footy 4 Fun helps continue to engage students and build upon their skills.  A flyer is attached on the 'Community page' of today’s newsletter for parents/carers to register interested children.
