From the Chaplain

Rev Dr Rosalie Clarke

Final greetings to all

It is hard to believe that Christmas is upon us, and that 2022 is nearly over.

It has been a full year and once again we have all done it together – students, teachers, support staff, boarding staff, parents and carers, and all Kinross Wolaroi families! I am thankful for the many people who make up this beautiful community in the Central West.

The end of the year has seen us blessed by the Kindy to Yr 2 traditional nativity play telling us the story of the birth of Jesus, and also the school orchestra and choirs leading us in a traditional Nine Carols and Lessons. These are stories of faith that have been passed down from generation to generation, the Spirit deeply impacting individuals and the very fabric of society. We give thanks for the truth of Christmas – for love, joy, hope and peace which sustain us through all the challenges of life.

Christmas is not always a time of happiness especially for those who have lost loved ones and who can feel alone at this time of year. There will be a special service held at the Uniting Church in Anson street on Wednesday 14 December at 6 pm if you would like to set some time aside to be quiet and remember your special person/people who are no longer with us physically.

At this time, we also think about our friends and families affected by the floods, as well as those affected by the number of conflicts waging around the world.

We give thanks for our lives, for the people who have come before us, and we commit ourselves to caring for the earth and thus to care for our children, and children’s children to come.

God bless. I hope you have a safe and fun holiday.

Rosalie
