Interschool Cross Country

Last Friday 10th of May, a group of Numurkah Primary students traveled to Princess Park in Shepparton to compete in Cross Country Division (zone). We all ran our best and it was a very long race. The 9/10 race was 2 km and the 11 and 12/13 was 3 km. The top 15 placed runners made it to the next level which is at Winton Race Way. Nate Warrin, Bridget Brown and Declan Lowden were all invited to the Winton Race Way. Here are two quotes from the day.

“The race was a lot longer then what I thought it was going to be and it felt a lot longer than 2 km.” Nate Warrin.

“The race was challenging and I was pleased that I made it to the end”. Baelan Saxton.

2019 UPDATED WINTER SPORTS for FRIDAY 17TH MAY

Dear Parents,

Our first winter sports game is on Friday 17th May in the afternoon. We play against St Josephs Primary School. NPS will be fielding one football team, two softball teams and three netball teams (1 Yr 5 team, 1 Yr 4-5 team and 1 Yr 6 team).  

Students who are unable to play sport on this day will be involved in appropriate activities at school.

All students playing against St Josephs will need to bring their lunch 

(no lunch orders) and a water bottle that can be refilled.

Even though we are playing in Numurkah these students will have an early lunch, because the games start at 1:45.

So come on down and support the students in their sporting endeavours!

Change of Venue

Football is at Numurkah Oval (at the Numurkah Recreation Reserve)

Netball games - Yr 6 & Yr 5-6 at the St Josephs courts 

                               - Yr 4-5 at the NPS school courts

Both Softball games at NPS school grounds (one near goal posts and one near the sports shed.)

Games Start: 1:45 pm    

Finish at 2:45pm Netball and football teams will return to NPS

Information about the Lightning Premiership will be given out later.
