Pizza Fundraiser

Year 5 are hosting a FUNDRAISING activity on Tuesday, 20th November 2018. Each child may purchase PIZZA for lunch at $2.50 per slice with the profit going towards the cost of the Year 6 2019 Jerseys.  Gluten free pizza will also be available.  Please place orders  via the Qkr! App by 12noon on Monday 19th November 2018.

Please Note - there will be no canteen lunches available on this day. Morning tea, drinks and icy poles will be available as usual.

Swimming

Kindergarten to Year 6 start their swimming program this Friday (9th November).

 

The children will swim at the following times:

Kindergarten - 9:30 am (depart school at 9.00 am)

Year 1 - 11.00 am (depart school at 10.30 am)

Year 2 - 11.30 am (depart school at 11.00 am)

Year 3 - 10.30 am (depart school at 10.00 am)

Year 4 - 10.00 am (depart school at 9.30 am)

Year 5 - 12.30 pm (depart school at 12.00 pm)

Year 6 - 12.00 pm (depart school at 11.30 am)

 

Parent helpers are asked to be at school ready to depart at the allocated times.

 

Please ensure your child wears their sport uniform and hat to school and has their swimmers, swim shirt (rashie), goggles (if required) and sunscreen in a swim bag.  Children without a swim shirt will not be able to swim.  

 

Kindergarten children are asked to wear their swimmers under their uniform.  Please remember to pack a pair of undies to wear under their uniform following swimming.

Year 4 Parent Gathering

Thursday, 8th November 6pm

Come and join us at the White Bull for dinner & drinks followed by Chicago the musical!  You're welcome to come for the entire evening or just pop down for a drink and / or dinner on the night! It would be lovely to see as many of you as possible!

4K- TIMMS Testing Term 4

Our 4K Class was selected by the National Assessment Program to participate in the 2018 in the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS). TIMSS is an important educational research project investigating student achievement in Mathematics and Science. More than 60 countries, including Australia, are participating in this study. A number of Year 4 classes across Australian schools have been selected to take part in this in 2018. The students sat the test tody.  

Amended Parking Zones

Please be aware that Council Rangers have begun monitoring the parking around St Mary's.  Please remember that the Rusden Street parking spaces along the front of the school are all classed as No Parking Zones between 8.00 am and 9.30 am and then again from 2.30 pm - 4.00 pm. 

 

No Parking Zones mean the driver may stop in this zone to drop off or pick up passengers or goods for a maximum of two minutes.  The driver MUST remain in or within three metres of the vehicle at all times.  The vehicle must not be left unattended.  Fines of $183 and the loss of 2 demerit points can apply.

School Newsletter

The school newsletter is published fortnightly and corresponds with whole school assembly weeks (even weeks of Term).  The next newsletter will be published on Wednesday 21st November.

Whole School Assembly

The next whole school assembly will be held this Friday, 9th November commencing at 2.40pm.  Student Awards for Weeks 3 and 4 of this term will be presented at this assembly.  Parents and Friends are welcome to join us.
