Annual Improvement Plan

Yesterday Mrs Reinke, Mrs Flynn , Mrs Stephen and I travelled to Glen Innes to join with St Joseph's Tenterfield and St Joseph's Glen Innes to present a reflection on, and evaluation of, our 2018 Annual Improvement Plan. Our reflection process began here at  school with staff discussion how we were progressing in achieving our goals for 2018. We then talked about the ways we could measure our success or failure - through data analysis and observation.  Finally we looked at where we need to go  from here with our planning for 2019. This process is familiar to staff as we use it when planning and looking at student learning and results.

I have attached for you a copy of our goals for 2018. As we continue to work on planning our goals for 2019 we will be guided by staff, parent and student input through discussions, our annual satisfaction survey results from Term 3, and data analysis from student results.

Classes for 2019

Based on the break up of our numbers for 2019 we will have 14 classes next year, that is two class groups in each Year level - Kindergarten to Year 6. Teachers will continue to work collaboratively with their year group partner to plan, program  and at times co-teach lessons.

The biggest change/movement next year will see the Year 2 classes move into the classrooms currently used for Indonesian and the teacher Professional learning area near the current Year 3 and 4 classrooms. This will provide us with two classroom spaces for Year 2 and two classrooms for Year 1 where the current Stage 1 classes are located.

P&F AGM

Tonight at 5:30 pm we have the Annual General Meeting of the P&F. I would like to thank our current P&F Executive - Naomi, Ben, Declan, Lisa and Erika for all their work and dedication throughout the year. I would also like to thank the class parents who have made it to many of the meetings and have helped with coordinating fundraising events.

Tonight is every parents opportunity to come along and be apart of a group who work hard to raise funds to improve the school resources for the students. I encourage you to come along and be apart of a great school community group and have the chance to input into the P&F's work.
