Catholic Mission Fundraising

This year as part of our annual fundraising for Catholic Mission we have decided that all proceeds raised will remain in Australia to support the drought relief. In past years our donations have gone overseas to aid countries in need however this year St Mary's has decided that our farming communities need our extra support. All classes now have a money box where students can place donations. These coins will then contribute to the class coin line with a small class prize for the longest class line.

On Thursday 8th November instead of our usual Silly Sox day we will be having a "Boots and Hats" day where students can come in their favorite boots and wear a wide brimmed hat. As Year 4 are going to Dumaresq Dam on this day, please only send your Year 4 child with a hat, not boots.  We are asking for a gold coin donation.

The coin line will also be completed on this day so feel free to send in all those coins you have lying around the house and in the car.

We look forward to your support with this event.

Jacaranda Social Club

Last Friday the Mini Vinnie's students visited the Jacaranda Social Club. This is run by the Home Nursing group and offers a variety of activities designed to promote positive interaction and to meet client's physical needs. Our students went along with games to play and books to read. They were a credit to our school striking up conversations with the elderly clients and playing games with them. The hour went by very quickly and we are looking forward to our next visit on Friday 23rd November.
