Sporting Success
Congratulations to Emilia Milsy Yassir and Peppa Poultney on their fantastic year with the Calder Cannons in the NAB League for under 18 girls. Calder Cannons had a terrific year ending up runners-up to the Northern Knights in the grand final played at Ikon Park.
Both girls were recognised for their performance throughout the year with selection in the Under 16 Victorian Metro team which had their first game against NSW; Victoria winning the match and both girls played exceptionally well.
We wish them both luck for the next game against Victoria Country!
Kody L: Victoria darts champion
Kody is the current Victorian under 18 singles and doubles darts champion and has been selected in the Victorian Under 18 team. This is a fantastic achievement and reward for all her hard work, especially as Kody is just 13 years of age! We wish Kody the very best with her next competition which will be held in Perth.
Well done to Moudy Taha and Jalal Abou Eid on representing the Essendon District Football League in their 115 – 26 win over the Western District Football League on the Queen's Birthday weekend. This is a fantastic reward for playing well throughout the season and an outstanding achievement to be recognised as two of the best under 14 players in the league.
