Religious Education

Next Monday sees the beginning of our Christmas Hamper Appeal 2018.

Everyone is warmly encouraged to participate in this much needed drive.

Each class will have a family they are collecting for. Please see the list below for items that are needed. The Class Reps together with the Social Justice Leaders from Prep to Year 6, will encourage us to be involved. Please check use by dates and second hand items are not allowed. If you have a second hand bike or such item, please donate it to the Hampton Street  St Vinnies.

Each class will have a tub in their room for the items to be stored.

This is way to enact our Catholic Social Teaching and support the dignity of each person and together work towards the common good for our St Finbar’s community.

Any queries, please feel free to email me, or speak to me before or after school.  I thank you in anticipation for this special appeal. cferrari@sfbrightoneast.catholic.edu.au

In two weeks we begin Advent. Next week there will be information about Advent and the upcoming events. This time of year, is a time where we can be Jesus’ light to others.  As the verse before the Gospel says:

Alleluia, alleluia!

I am the light of the world, says the Lord:

whoever follows me will have the light of life.

Alleluia!

How can we provide light to others and recognise light being shared with us?
