BIG Write

There was a huge buzz of excitement this morning as students arrived at school to be faced with a "crime scene".  The scene is the stimulus for tomorrow's Big Write, where children will be asked to consider the following:

There has been an incident in the playground. The police have taped off the area.

What happened? Was it an accident or were they pushed?

In your writing, think about the character and what led them to be on the roof in the first place. Where are they now?

Using the scene in the playground and the questions above, write a narrative about what you think might have happened.

The "crime scene".
Plenty of excitement about the"crime scene".
The "crime scene".
Plenty of excitement about the"crime scene".

Year 5 Science

Year 5 have been getting creative and working hard in groups to create an orrery of the Sun, Moon and Earth. An orrery is a 3D model that moves to show the relationship between the Earth, Moon and Sun to explain phenomena like the 24 hour day, calendar months and the calendar year.

They have done an amazing job and are very proud of their models!
