Principal's Report
Term 4 Begins
The final term of the 2015 school year has begun with a blast of warm weather allowing the students to enjoy playground time with their friends. As I walk around the yard I note the positive tone displayed by the students as they enjoy chatting and playing. In the classrooms the students are applying themselves enthusiastically to their learning. Such a positive start is a great indicator of success in school. The preparedness for learning and interacting allows Ormond students to make maximum gains at every stage of their learning.
New Teacher for Year 2C
On behalf of the Ormond school community I would like to welcome Elani Gibney who has taken over the responsibility for the Year 2 C class following Hadyn Thompson’s transfer to Wattle Park PS. Elani is well-prepared and organised to lead the learning in the class and I note how positively the students have welcomed her.

Prep Enrolments
There are currently fifty-five students enrolled for Prep at Ormond for 2016. Please encourage families who have not already enrolled their child to contact the office immediately in order to assist with transition to school and planning.
SunSmart
Term 4 signals the beginning of the sunnier weather and so it’s time to wear a hat during all outdoor activities. Please ensure that your child has a suitable hat so that they may play freely in all parts of the school yard. Parents may also take the opportunity to send along a tube of sunscreen so that their child may be able to self-apply this prior to going outside.
