Kindergarten Registration!!
Admission Requirements:
- A child must be five (5) years old by August 31, 2019 to enter kindergarten
- You will be required to provide proof of in-district residence. (Utility bill, rental agreement, or completed choice forms)
- A certified birth certificate from the Bureau of Vital Statistics (this is not the hospital issued certificate)
- Washington state law requires all students to be immunized before enrolling in school. Your child will not be assigned a classroom teacher until the immunization requirements are complete.
Please note: Kindergarten classes do not start until Sept 3, 2019
Missing Something?
Please be sure to stop by and look through our Lost and Found. We have several sweatshirts & jackets looking for their owner! It is helpful when you write your child's name on their belongings so we can assist in their recovery when misplaced. Articles not claimed by the end of the school year will be donated to charitable organizations.
Last Day of School - Early Release
The last day of school is Friday, June 14. Classes
will be dismissed at 10:30. There will be no breakfast or lunch served on the last day. All morning bus routes will operate on their normal pickup schedules and school will begin at the regular time, however, bus drop off times are approximately 5.0 hours earlier than normal.

This summer the East Valley Nutrition Department is collaborating with the Spokane County Library for a few events to happen at Otis Orchards school during summer feeding times:
June 18th- Traveling Lantern Theater 10:30-11:30
June 27th- Mobius Mobile Planetarium 12:15-2:15
July 9th -Alex Zerbe, Juggling Act 10:30-11:30
YMCA
Many of you have been anxiously waiting the 2019-20 School Age Program Enrollment and it is now ready to go! The YMCA has already received some registrations so please do not delay as they anticipate sites will again fill to capacity. ALL families need to complete a registration form each school year. You will notice the registration form is a new fillable option.
The YMCA recommends returning via email to schoolageprograms@ymcainw.org. You must include the $50 reg fee (unless your child is a YMCA member). Monthly billing will begin September 1st. You will also see a 3 day or 5 day a week monthly option which will offer great flexibility for your family. DSHS families do not need to include payment until their first copay is due. Again, your child’s enrollment does not carry over year-to-year so please complete registration form soon to secure your spot.
Please note that the YMCA is no longer able to offer the 5 visit punch card option beginning for the 2019-20 school year. Rollover days will still be able to be utilized (5 visits max).
Additional information will be emailed out closer to the start of the 2019-20 school year such as current child information form (to be filled out annually), rate schedule (monthly discounts can be found in the program guide) and change cancel form.
Otis Orchards Open House
Please join us on Monday, August 26 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. to meet your child's teacher for the new year, visit their classroom and drop off your school supplies.
We will see you soon!!
The office will reopen for the 2019-2020 school year on Friday, August 16 and the nurses' clinic will reopen on Monday, August 19.
The first day of school for 1st-6th grade is Wednesday, August 28 and the first day for Kindergarten is Tuesday, September 3.
