Swimming Carnival Wrap

The annual Swimming Carnival was held on Monday 25th February at Prahran Pool. The day was a beautiful, sunny but windy 32 degrees - a perfect day for a Swimming Carnival.

The sense of house spirit began to rise when the Sport Captains set up their house areas and students began arriving in their themes. Xavier girls embodied Xavier Fiesta, Kostka girls arrived in their PJ’s, we had the Nagle Angels and Loyola were Green Movie Characters. The house themes were some of the best we had and girls from all year levels really embraced the themes.

The Carnival is designed to be a healthy, fun and social event, encouraging maximum participation. Kostka was the winner claiming their seventh straight victory, congratulations! However Loyola were only 5 points behind which was a clear indication they are coming after the title in the years to come. In third place we had the Nagle Angels and Xavier although in 4th place took out the Spirit Award.
