Good Morning Staff, students and special guests.
I am so honoured to speak to you all today. I consider myself extremely lucky attend to such a wonderful school, filled with such incredible people. PCW is a beautiful place, which offers all of its students a marvellous education. The teachers and staff here genuinely care about the welfare of their students, and always support us with whatever aspect of our lives we need help with. Our caring teachers do an outstanding job and always push us to do the best that we possibly can. Not only does Presentation College provide us with a brilliant education, but also a fabulous community and many phenomenal learning experiences.
When I am asked to describe Presentation College, the first thing I mention is the school’s splendid community. We are all so privileged to attend such a stunning school, with such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Presentation College has allowed me to experience many different learning opportunities. Here we are able to study a range of different subjects, many I didn’t know existed, from coding to hiragana, one of Japanese alphabets to melodrama. We are able to join a number of clubs, such as FOAL’s (the very cool library club) and the social justice group. In addition to this, we have the opportunities to participate in countless musical and athletic extracurricular activities.
My year level is very fortunate to be the school’s first students to take part in the Middle Years Program, of the International Baccalaureate. We are PCW’s “MYP babies” (as Mr Gitson calls us). In the beginning the Middle Years Program was challenging to get accustomed to, but as a year level and as time went on, we overcame this challenge and now find the MYP extremely beneficial to our learning. The Middle Years Program has expanded our minds and now allows us to think about situations globally and with an open mindset. Thank you to Mr Lane and Mr Gitson for making the transition into the Middle Years Program as smooth as it could be.
Thank you so much to all of the teachers and students for always being so kind and thoughtful, we all are so lucky to have each other, and to be a part of the PCW family.
Thank you very much!
I hope you have a super dooper day!
