Middle School Report

Welcome back everyone, it is so good to see you back in school and in your classes. We hope that you are pleased to be back in school and seeing your friends and teachers face to face once more. The commitment and enthusiasm evident during remote learning this term was fantastic. So much has been achieved that should be celebrated as we reach the end of Semester One.

Year Level Coordinators enjoyed the online class visits done earlier in the term and seeing all of the students engaged in learning in so many different ways on different platforms. We know that there were many challenges associated with learning from home but they were managed so well.

Over the last few weeks, students in both Year 9 and Year 10 have completed their end of semester tests and exams.  This can be a stressful time for students, especially as it often involves some disruptions to their usual timetables. All of the students deserve huge congratulations for their work during their exams.  There was very good attendance at all the Year 10 exams and Year 9 semester tests, and the students logged on with plenty of time to complete the exams to the best of their ability.

Semester Reports will be made available to parents on Thursday, 25 June. This is the perfect time to reflect upon everything that has been learnt over the course of the year so far, celebrate the successes and establish learning goals for Semester Two.  In Term 3, students will continue working on their careers program in preparation for Course Counselling Days.  Setting clear learning goals is an important part of the subject selection process and preparation for 2021.

The Middle School Coordinators would like to wish all the students and their families a restful break over the two-week holidays. We look forward to seeing you all again in Term 3, rested and refreshed.
