Health and safety

The health and safety of our workers and the community is our key priority as we continue to upgrade the Sunbury Line, as is supporting physical distancing measures in line with current health advice.

We have strict protocols in place to protect the safety of our construction workforce, including enhanced industrial cleaning arrangements, provision of personal protective equipment and measures to reduce staff contact, including staggered shifts.

There is also increased cleaning across the public transport network to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), including rail replacement buses.

This includes nightly sanitation of all trains, trams, and buses, including wiping down all touch surfaces using disinfectant. There will also be enhanced cleaning during bus layovers at major interchanges.

All Victorians are being asked to stay safe by maintaining good hygiene, keeping your distance from others and if you feel unwell stay home.
