Assistant Principal - Curriculum

The changes necessitated by ongoing restrictions recently saw a 'new' way of conducting Parent/Teacher Conferences, with parents booking a  time for Year 12 teachers to call them. While the conversations largely did not involve the students themselves, we have received some very positive feedback about the experience - especially in regard to convenience for parents. If you have any specific feedback about these interviews please contact Mrs Bronwyn Bell,  bbell2@arm.catholic.edu.au. We are constantly monitoring the situation with regard to restrictions and will communicate at a later date how interviews might be conducted for Years 7 - 11.

Reports for junior students will look slightly different this Semester and will not be based on formal assessment and academic achievement. Instead the Half-Yearly Report for students in the junior school will consider the level of engagement with online learning and the return to school process. The breadth of experience and the variety of personal circumstances during the online learning phase means that it is not realistic or equitable to use traditional academic reports. There will be no exam period for students in Years 7-10 this semester.

While Year 11 Reports will be based on the assessments that have been completed,  NESA (New South Wales Education Authority) has  advised that schools should make any necessary adjustments to their assessment schedules. If changes have been required, these will have been communicated to Year 11 students by their subject teachers.

The HSC Trials have been rescheduled and will commence in Week 5 of Term 3.
