Room 14

Monarch Butterfly

2 weeks ago we watched as our plump caterpillar went into it’s chrysalis. This week we have observed the colour changing from green to a black/see through colour. This means transformation from caterpillar to butterfly (also known as ‘Metamorphosis’) is almost complete and our friend will be emerging very soon. 

Narrative writing

This term we have been learning all about narratives. Some super stars have been trying their best to challenge their brains and be persistent during writing time, adding lots of detail to their stories. Next week we be writing our own narratives about our new friend Butter the butterfly. Our stories will include how he felt when he emerged from his cocoon and what adventures he went on.
