A message from our Principal

Dear Parents, 

Thank you again to all our parents, carers and friends for adhering to social distancing during the pick up and drop off of students each day. We all appreciate parents not entering school grounds unless it is absolutely essential. This allows us to keep our school COVID safe.

Teachers have been busy with the commencement of Parent/Teacher Interviews this week. Parents will be contacted via phone from Tuesday 9th June-Friday 19th June so teachers and parents can have these important conversations. These conversations allow parents to speak to their child’s teacher about their child’s learning from home and at school, how they progressed, what support they required to complete work independently and issues they identified. Teachers will be able to inform parents on how their child has settled back into school, the data we have collected since the return to school on 25th May and what the learning goals for your child will be for next semester. Teachers will then write the Semester 1 report which will be sent home with children on Friday 3rd July.

Opportunity Class Applications

The application process for Year 5 opportunity class placement for entry in 2021has commenced. Important dates in the application process are as follows:

Tuesday 9 June 2020: Online applications open

Friday 26 June 2020: Online applications close (Parents and carers must apply by the due date.)

Denison College Transition Program

At this stage the High School transition program for Year 6 to Year 7 2021 will go ahead next term as long as restrictions are lifted. The date for our students to attend Denison College Bathurst/Kelso High campus is Wednesday 2nd September 2020. Further information will be provided closer to the date.

With the colder weather upon us, it is a timely reminder that children need to come to school with a navy blue school jumper and navy blue jacket each day. Please ensure your child's name is clearly written on each article of clothing. We already have a large amount of lost property in the office we are trying to find owners for.
