GSSC Executive Team

It has been great to have all the students back on site. We now have all Year levels engaged and teachers are working very hard to make sure all their student's needs are being catered for, after being away so long. 

Everyone has settled in well and with a week left till the July break we all have lots to do.

This week Ken Murray, Principal Wanganui Campus, announced his retirement, effective at the end of Term 3. Ken has always, listened, encouraged & lead by example. Over the next term we will celebrate Ken’s outstanding achievements & contributions over his career.

We had a Pyjama Day (out of uniform) on Thursday and it was a great opportunity for students & staff to come to school with their different attire, while raising funds for State School Relief and The Bridge. 

Reports are being prepared by teachers and will be accessible on Compass by Friday 26th June.

Thank you for making a big effort to get your child in uniform. Please know that extra stocks are continually coming into the local uniform shops over the July break. We hope to see everyone in full uniform when we begin back for Term 3.

On Friday 26th June, last day of Term 2, school will finish at 2.10pm and all buses will run an hour earlier, to accommodate the early finish.

It has been a Term which has had many twists and turns. Thank you for being so adaptable, resilient, understanding and supportive. We are all in this together, please be well and safe.

The July break will give us all a chance to reflect and reset for a productive, inclusive and hopefully a “new normal” Term 3.
