F-5 Swimming
F-5 students have been participating in Department for Education swimming lessons at the Elizabeth Aquadome over the past 2 weeks. Thank you for supporting your child with their preparations for swimming, we are very proud of how organised and independent they were. It was wonderful to see them all enjoy themselves while learning how to stay safe in the water.
In week 4 Monday - Friday, 302 and 301 went to the Aquadome to swim. We went to the deep pool which satisfied me the most. Everyone was having a great time and I felt calm and relaxed. We learnt what to do if someone is drowning and what materials you could use. Swimming lessons actually made a big difference if I compare it to the first day and the last day of swimming. I would like to thank all the teachers for organising this and all the parents for setting up the goggles and swimming stuff.
Ayesha N - 302
On Monday the 22nd of May 2023 we went swimming at the Elizabeth aquadome. In my group it was only 302 there was Jordan, Sadie, Elijah, Savannah, Desiree, Ayesha, Mitchell and I.
On Friday we had to wear old clothes to swim in to see if we had achieved what we learned. I was very excited to do this because I got to go swimming. We had learnt survival backstroke and that we can do it for a long time without getting tired quickly. I achieved the three meter glide in the shallow end. I would like to thank my dad for being able to drop me off at school so I could go swimming.

Girls World Cup Soccer Carnival
In week 4 on Thursday the 25th of May, the year 6 girls went and played in a soccer carnival. Two teams of 7 went and we thank our volunteer Kathryn and Mrs Michael for coaching the two teams.
Both teams each played 8 games, most of which were played in the cold weather. Well done to the girls that played and congratulations to the girls that scored. Some highlights of the day were the games we won, the goals that we scored, the bucketing rain, meeting the Women’s Adelaide United players Dylan Holmes and Isabel Hodgson and the great sportsmanship that was shown throughout the day.
Thank you so much to the following girls who tried their best, showed great sportsmanship, had a wonderful day and made it possible for everyone else to play:
Ruby E, Steph G, Layla D, Isabelle S, Zoey H, Quinn S, Jordana B, Reagan W, Sofia S, Milli N, Chloe R, Natalia L, Eliza G, and Hollee B.
A big thanks to the people who organized the event, and the teams that played, and finally again thank you so much to amazing volunteer parent Kathryn and amazing coach Mrs Michael. Without these people, the day wouldn't have been possible.
