Science Incursion

We had the fabulous 'Hands on Science' come and visit us last week where they ran some science experiments with us. We had a great time having a go using all the materials and ingredients ourselves. It was interesting to see what happened when we compared each of the different groups, even though we all had the same ingredients. 

We got to see things heat up, expand, mix together and change between the different states of matter; solid, liquid and gas. 

Literacy

We have spent some of our writing time responding to our Pen Pals as we wrote them a new letter. We focused on different types of sentences while we answered their questions which we have been learning more about this term.

Our reading lessons have seen us focus on inferencing while we read. We have been developing the ways we understand what we read by focusing on clues on different texts. 

Lightning Premiership Day 

The students had lot of fun playing netball and soccer at the Bayside District Lightning Premiership. We were very proud of their sportsmanship, teamwork and respect.

We have had a busy few weeks in and out of class and hope everyone enjoys the day off tomorrow and on Monday. See you all next week.
