Division Cross Country

On Wednesday the 31st of May our Division Cross Country team continued their running journey at Toomuc Reserve, Pakenham. Comprising of 7 motivated athletes, the team competed against local schools within the Casey South Division. With temperatures sitting around 19 degrees, our athletes ran like the wind (which was also strong on the day!), and should be very proud of their achievements.

Thank you to parents/guardians who not only transported students to the event but gathered together to form an LPS cheer squad. A special mention to Tilly H who enthusiastically encouraged her peers from the seat of her wheelchair, post-surgery.

Region Cross Country

Madelyn (5A), Brodie (4B) and Devan (4C) represented our school at regional cross country at Hastings Foreshore on Wednesday (it would have been muddy underfoot and very windy!).

  • Madelyn came 55th in the 11 year old girls 3km race
  • Devan came 60th in the 9/10 boys 2km racethe
  • Brodie came 4th in the 9/10 boys 2km race

Amazing results at such a competitive level. Brodie will go on to represent us at State level! Very exciting news!

Bread Bag (not bread tag) Recycling

This year we are participating in the Wonder Recycling Rewards Program for schools in the hope of scoring some free sporting equipment for Lyndhurst Primary School.

Please start collecting your bread bags and wrap packets and bring them into school. We suggest using one bread bag to store the others inside of for ease of transport. There are x2 pink recycling boxes, one is located inside the office entrance doors and the other is in the Team Kids area.

Please ensure that bags are emptied of crumbs, there is no need to wash the bags out.

School collections close on the 23rd of June.
