Run Club

In Week 15 of our run club, I received the outstanding news that 89 students participated with great enthusiasm and dedication. Although I couldn't be present to witness this magnificent gathering on the oval, the reports of their inspiring efforts reached me, filling me with pride and admiration for their commitment to fitness and personal growth. I would really like to see a big number like maybe 150 kids on the oval that would be awesome.

Week 15 individual leaders

As we reach Week 15, it's time to give a well-deserved round of applause to Brodie Welsh, an exceptional Grade 4 student who has showcased remarkable skill and unwavering determination. Brodie has truly emerged as a force to be reckoned with, overtaking the previous week's leader, Aiden Head. Let's take a moment to acknowledge Brodie's outstanding achievements and commend his steadfast commitment to his goals.

Grade leaders Week 15

Week 15, the grade leaders have emerged with 5D taking the 1st position, closely followed by 5A in 2nd place, and 2B securing the 3rd spot. It's worth noting that 5D has consistently held the leadership position throughout the year, showcasing their unwavering commitment and remarkable performance. Congratulations to all the grade leaders for their impressive achievements!

2023 Overall Grade Leaders

In an impressive display of athleticism and determination, the top performers in our sports program have emerged in Week 15. Leading the pack is Clare Alexander from 5D, who has secured the 1st position with a staggering 233 kilometers covered. Clare's relentless drive and unwavering commitment to pushing boundaries have propelled her to the forefront.

Not far behind is Bridget Penney from 5A, claiming the 2nd spot with an impressive total of 137 kilometers. Bridget's consistent efforts and remarkable endurance have earned her a well-deserved place among the top contenders.

Rounding out the top three is Paul Hennesy from 4C, who has made a remarkable mark with a commendable distance of 124 kilometers. Paul's dedication and perseverance have truly paid off, showcasing his true sporting prowess.

2023 Overall Runner Leaders

As we near the end of the term, an exciting shift has occurred on the leaderboard. Aiden from 3A, Carol Santanders' grade, has surged ahead and claimed the top position. Aiden's remarkable efforts have propelled them to the forefront, dethroning the previous leader.

Meanwhile, Luis from Clare Alexander's grade has made an impressive move, knocking Madelyn (Bridget Penney) off the coveted top spot. With a mere 2-kilometre gap, the competition is set to intensify as we approach the end of the term. However don’t think the rest of the group is out of the running, they are trailing close behind by mere kilometres.

I would like to acknowledge the remarkable contribution of Jess Backhaus, who stepped into the massive shoes of Jonno, taking on the responsibility of leading the run club activities. With Mrs Hunter supervising the event, their guidance and support ensured a successful and enjoyable experience for all participants. Their commitment to the run club's mission is truly commendable, and I am grateful for their dedication in fostering a positive and empowering environment.

Thanks to our sponsors Woolworths on Evans Road, who are constantly feeding the students afterwards.
