DISTRICT CROSS COUNTRY

  47 students qualified to represent SJV at the Wellington District Cross Country event yesterday.  Competing against students from 6 other schools, our students did an amazing job in a very tough competition.  The 9/10 year olds had to run a 2km course around Norton's Park, while the 11, 12 and 13 year old students had to run 3km.  All of our students did their absolute best to complete their race - many finishing in the top 25 to earn points for our SJV team.  We also had 5 students finish in the top 12 which means they have qualified for the next level of competition which is the Monash Waverley Division Cross Country.  This event will be held on Wednesday 31st May at Mirrabooka Reserve in Blackburn South.

Congratulations to these students who will compete again at the Division event: Aiden, Zahra, Samuel, Dina and Caris.
