Engaging families in learning through Seesaw
At St. John Vianney’s we strive to engage families in learning. Research shows that when families are engaged in their child’s learning, the child experiences greater academic success. One of the ways that we engage with families in learning is through Seesaw.
Seesaw is a digital learning platform that brings together engaging instruction, portfolio-based assessment, and family engagement centered on learning. Seesaw allows teachers and students to post photos and videos of the learning that is happening within the classroom.
All students at SJV have their own Seesaw learning journal which families can view using the Seesaw Families App.
Families are encouraged to ‘like’ and comment on their child’s posts.
