Excellence in 5/6H
Why be mediocre?
Excellence in 5/6H
Why be mediocre?
We can already see that Term 2 will be a busy term in 5/6H.
We all continue to work hard and put our best effort into everything we do. We still believe in striving towards excellence. Here are some of
our work samples and photos of us working.
Our Reward
In Term 1 we were the best class for getting back to our line on time, and for sitting straight and proud whilst waiting for teachers. As a result, we had the opportunity to play an outside game while other classes were doing work. We played a new game called Kayake!
Urban Designers
Our Island designs are sitting pride of place in our classroom. They reflect various aspects of our lives and include interesting landmarks, bodies of water, towns, airfields and skyscrapers.
The Importance of Prayer
Our own class morning prayer has become a focus this term. Students are encouraged to take a candle to their table while we reflect on the words of our prayer for the day ahead. Our prayer mats are also used to say and examine the prayers of the Mass.
Being Spirit Filled
We started the term by researching a saint or hero from which our homework projects will be based.
Each student then confidently explained their choice to the class. We have examined the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit, and have familiarised ourselves with Bishop Tony Ireland who will confirm us this term.
Enjoying Quoits
We have learned another game in class. Last term we played ‘jacks’ or knucklebones to get an idea of activities that can be played without technology. Last week we learned how to play quoits and specifically how to hold the quoit properly whilst aiming to hit the post.
The students of 5/6H thank their teachers and parents for their support throughout the term.
