Mother's Day Breakfast Club

At the Mother’s Day Breakfast Club, we had muffins, pancakes, fruit and juice. We had fun and we all loved the music. You should have been there! You got to spend time with your loving Mum or special friend. The pancakes were beautiful light pink. There was lots of yummy food and all our mothers were there. That's the best part of it. Of course, we didn’t forget about the adults. There’s a coffee table where you could drink some yummy coffee. All mothers and siblings were welcome. Our Mother’s Day Breakfast Club was awesome. The tables were so fancy with pink paper plates.

Think U Know

Last Monday, on the on the 8th of May, the Year 3-6 levels were lucky enough to have the police come over and talk about how to be safe online. As a level we discussed all the different scenarios of what could happen online such as people pretending to be someone else or your friend. They warned us that you can’t believe everything you see online and not to give anyone your personal information. Towards the end we got to see all their cool gadgets. We had a great time!

Year 5/6 Day Of AI

We started the day by learning what Artificial Intelligence means. Next, we used the iPads and laptops and went onto a site called Quick Draw. We had to make doodles of random things and the computer AI had to guess what it was, and that was fun. Next, we took sample photos and gave them to an AI. We put our face or the same hand gesture in front of the camera and the AI gave us percentages for how similar the sample photos were to our face or gesture. After that we learnt about how fast AI is evolving. For example, Google has made a fully self-driving car that can even navigate itself. Just before lunch, we learnt about ‘deepfakes’ and how people use ‘deepfakes’. They sometimes are used for fun and other times they are used for dangerous reasons. Overall, we had a great time learning about AI!
