Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you to all the parents who could attend the Celebration of Learning afternoon and morning last week. A celebration of learning is more than a display of the student's learning, it's an opportunity for students to reflect on and articulate what they have learned, have their questions and wonderings answered throughout the inquiry and an opportunity to share their strengths. The students were so proud to share their learning with you all. Thank you for your interest and participation in your children's learning.
A reminder that we will be celebrating the cultures in our community and around the world this Friday, June 9th. Please read the flyer for information regarding this day. Parents are most welcome to attend this day of Celebration.
St Fidelis Primary School is committed to ensuring a respectful learning environment that is safe, positive and supportive for all students, staff and visitors of the school. It is the intention of St Fidelis School to provide clear guidelines to all parents and visitors regarding the conduct expected of them while on the school premises, (or at school-related places), engaging in school-related activities or representing the school. Parents/guardians/carers and visitors are expected to uphold the school’s core values at all times. Please take a moment to re-visit the Parent Code of Conduct.
Welcome Back Ian Vergal
Ian Vergal (some of you may remember him, a seminarian that resided at St Fidelis last year) will be facilitating a Reflection and Retreat Day for the Year Four students who are preparing to receive their First Holy Communion in the coming weeks. Annette (our Religious Education Leader) and the classroom teachers will also assist Ian on this day. More information about this day can be found in the Religious Education section of the newsletter.
Last Friday was our first Parent Morning tea. It was held in the staffroom immediately after assembly. We had about 20 parents and their toddlers join us. This is a great initiative by the Parents and Friends Committee. Everyone is welcome. These will be held monthly and communicated via the newsletter and the Audiri App.
Fees have been distributed to all families.
Can you please ensure that your fees are paid before June 16th
Thank you to all the families who have paid their fees in full. Our school does rely on school fees for many recurrent costs so prompt payment is appreciated.
