KINGSTON DIVISION SWIMMING

The legacy of the McKinnon Swimming team was again on show at the recent Kingston Division Swimming Sports at Oakleigh Pool.

After another heavyweight battle with archrivals Parkdale SC we managed to retain the title of Kingston Division champions with an outstanding team effort that was highlighted by our relay teams.

Oscar Whitney (Year 11) continued his amazing individual success with victory in the 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle events.

Other outstanding individual performances from Zach Gordon (Year 10) (50m & 100m butterfly and 200m Individual Medley) and Leo Park (Year 8) (50m freestyle, backstroke and butterfly).

With double points on offer it was the strength and selflessness of our entire team that was the secret to our success. We won seven of a possible twelve freestyle relays and four of a possible six medley relays.

Thank you to all of the participants on the day who contributed to our success as we look forward to the Southern Metro finals coming up soon.
