Japanese Students Catch Up With Sister School in Gojo

News from LOTE Department - Zoom catch-up with Gojo 

Gojo Senior High School is our sister school in Japan.  Unfortunately, Gojo has not been able to visit us over the last two years.  However, we have been keeping in touch via Zoom.  

Last week, Year 7 Millward and Year 8 Aherne had the opportunity to interact with one Year 10 class at Gojo.  Gojo students spent a few weeks organising presentations to introduce their school and Japanese culture.  We had a few technical issues but Girton students enjoyed the presentation and they now know that Gojo has a huge outdoor swimming pool.  They also learnt about Todaiji Temple, the biggest temple in Japan, which is located near Gojo.  We look forward to another Zoom catch-up with Gojo next year.  It would be wonderful if we can visit Japan soon.
