Reflections from the Student Wellbeing Day

Student voice is a big part of St. Bridget’s. We like to hear from the children. Kate is one of our SRC representatives for Semester Two. She has shared her experiences about our

Wellbeing day.

On Friday November 19, we had a Wellbeing Day to celebrate everyone being back at school. We had a lot of activities and we got put into groups. There was an Art activity where we made a pasta wreath, a STEM group where we made hoop gliders, a sport group, an animal farm and a jumping castle. We had a special lunch where you could have a sausage in bread or a hamburger. Some people also had juice boxes and icy-poles that were lemonade flavoured.

After lunch we watched a magic show with the magician Tim Credible and Douzie the dragon puppet. He could do lots of tricks and his dragon was funny because every time the magician said, “Aqua,” Douzie would start singing Barbie Girl by Aqua. When he said ‘Pink,” Douzie started singing a Pink song. The magician could also use imaginary scissors to cut a rope.

My favourite part of the day was making the pasta wreaths because I put on way too much glue and it was really funny and the glue went everywhere!

Thank you to all the teachers, LSOs and parents who helped to make this day  happen.
