Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

The Student Wellbeing Day that we held recently was a wonderful day of celebrating the return of all students back to school. It was great to see and hear their excitement.

It was also a great opportunity for our pre-preps to be part of the experience.

Thank you to our Parents and Friends Committee for hosting such as fabulous event.

Last week, another new family joined our school. We welcome Mila to our JLC Class and parents Adriana and Piers to our school community. Please help to make them feel welcome.

Last week, we held a workshop delivered by Presentation Family Project for those students making their Sacrament of Reconciliation this Friday 3rd December at 10.15am. We wish them well for this celebration.

Last Thursday, the Prep to Year 2 students had their first camp experience. This experience started with a visit to the Melbourne Aquarium; followed by fun activities back at school; then a Taco dinner and pajama time in the Library to watch a movie.

This experience forms part of our camp program and is a great opportunity for our Junior students to build their resilience and independence before experiencing their first over night camp in Year 3. Thank you to those staff who supported the event.

Last Friday night, the students in Years 5/6 celebrated their Sacrament of Confirmation. This sacrament is where the candidates receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and confirms the promises made by the child's parents and God parents at Baptism. Congratulations to all those involved.

Also last Friday, as part of the Kooyong Student Prize, two of our students were nominated for their outstanding academic achievements and consistent demonstration of our Catholic values. This prize was awarded to Mackenzie. D and James. K in Year 6 which was presented by Josh Frydenberg our local member of Federal Parliament. Congratulations to James and Mackenzie.

Kind regards

Mrs Robyn Thomson
