Deputy Principal

It was wonderful to be a part of my first Opening Mass where I was commissioned as the Deputy Principal at St Patrick’s College. It was a very special occasion and I am very grateful to be part of the community.

Overall, the students have settled in well to College routines after a long summer break. There are a few reminders I need to remind our community about:

Dropping Off Items

The College has a policy that can be found in the diary that items are not to be dropped off to the College for your son if he forgets something. This needs to be a learning experience for him and the College simply does not have enough staff to organise to get items to your son that he may have forgotten.

Public Transport

Please reinforce with your son the importance of using his Opal Card on public transport. I contacted Transport NSW last week to seek more buses for students in the afternoon as some buses are overcrowded. They responded quickly with a count of the number of students who tapped onto the bus. If your son has lost his card, please organise a new card immediately. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Kiss and Ride

Can I remind parents/carers that when dropping your son off in the morning, that your son is ready to get out of the car promptly as you pull up to the drop off zone.

In the afternoons, we will be asking parents to go around the block if their son is not at the pick-up zone. This will improve flow and allow a smoother pick up of students. Can I please ask that parents are on time to pick up their son, as we have had students being picked up at 4:00 PM.
